Rebecca Walford

I am Rebecca Walford and I recently joined Making Travel Pay as I have been inspired by Hayley’s journey and with a need to better my life.

In 2020 I became a single mum to my son and fought a lengthy, costly court battle. In May of this year we became homeless and I was signed off work with anxiety and stress. Up until that point I was working all the hours under the sun for a TV company in a managerial role and spent time working away from home and in effect became a weekend parent.

Whilst I love working I know I need more from life, for both of us. I need to be a present parent, one who can do the school run, do homework and be there for the fun times too. I want to show my son the world as I have always had a passion for travel after studying the subject at college and visiting many countries myself so there is no better time for us than now!
